The Nigerian Defencre Academy (NDA) is a federal military institution in Nigeria. It is one of the three Nigerian service academies, and is located in Kaduna State.

The academy’s purpose is to train officers for the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force. It also serves as a research and development center for the Nigerian Armed Forces. The academy has two campuses: a permanent site in Afaka Kaduna State, and a second site in Kaduna North Kaduna State which was opened in October 2005.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) always release the list of candidates shortlisted for admission into the institution for the Regular Course (RC) program for the academic session each year After the entrance examination which always take place in the 36 States in Nigeria.

The list contains the names of 75rc shortlisted candidates who will go for the Armed forces selection board (AFSB).

They are the names that will be for NDA admission after attending the Nigerian Defence Academy Armed forces selection board (AFSB).

In this post we will be looking at the NDA 75rc shortlist that are for Armed forces selection board (AFSB). After the board, we will also update the list of the NDA 75RC shortlisted candidates who are successful after the selection board.

The list contains the names of candidates who scored up to 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and passed the NDA 75 Regular Course entrance examination.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Screening Test was held on Monday 15 April 2024. The list of successful candidates whose names appear
below are to report for interview before the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) from Monday 27 May – Sunday 7 July 2024 at the NDA Ribadu Campus, Kaduna. The list may also be accessed through the NDA official website or

Candidates will appear before the AFSB in 2 Batches as follows:
Batch 1. Candidates from the underlisted states are to report to NDA for interview from Monday 27 May – Sunday 16 June 2024.
Batch 2.Candidates from the underlisted states are to report to NDA for interview from Monday 17 June – Sunday 7 July 2024.
Candidates who fail to report on Monday 27 May 2024, and Monday 17 June 2024 for Batches 1 and 2 respectively, will not be allowed to attend
the interview. Any candidate in Batch 2 who is seen around the NDA premises before Monday 17 June 2024, will be disqualified. All candidates will be accommodated and fed throughout the duration of their stay for the AFSB.

All candidates must come along with their

  • Bank Verification
    Number (BVN) Certificate and Bank account number..
  • JAMB UTME Result Slip 2024.
  • Academic Certificates / Statements of Result and Testimonials for Primary and Secondary Schools.
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, preferably Birth Certificate.
  • Letter of Consent from Parent/Guardian.
  • Writing materials.
  • Three blue shorts and 3 white (round-neck) T-shirts.
  • A pair of white canvas shoes and 3 pairs of white socks.
  • Toiletries.
  • Non-refundable fee of N2,500.00 each for verification/confirmation of results at WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS and JAMB.
  • Scratch cards for WAEC and/or NECO results for online confirmation of result.
  • Four recent colored passport photographs.
  • The second copy of Postcard Photograph that was presented and endorsed at the Exam Centre during the NDA Screening Test.

Candidates are to download both the Attestation and Letter of Consent Forms from the NDA application portal/NDA website and complete same.
Candidates who fail to bring along the documents listed above may be disqualified. Any alterations on the documents will attract outright

All candidates will undergo a screening exercise which will involve documents (certificates/credentials) verification, medical and physical fitness tests, individual/group obstacles and 3.2km race amongst others. Only candidates who pass the screening exercise will qualify to continue with the interview. Thus, any candidate that fails at any stage of the screening will be disqualified from the interview.
Letter of Attestation of State/Local Government Indigeneship duly signed by the Secretary to the State Government or Chairman of Local
Government, as the case may be. Certification obtained from a military officer from the candidate’s state of origin, who must be of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, may be used in place of Local Government
Indigeneship Certificate.

In this case, the officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail
address. The officer must also affix formation/unit stamp and sign.

All the Candidates who their names are among the NDA 74RC shortlisted candidates will undergo a military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a period of 5 years for Nigerian Army cadets period of 4 years for Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air force cadets. The Navy and Air Force cadets are always moved out of the academy to their base for one year program which is meant for them alone. On successful completion of the cadets training, graduands will earn a honors degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, BA). They will also earn a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nigerian Defence Academy NDA 75RC Shortlisted Candidates 2024/2025 School Fees

There is no school fees for the NDA cadets. All Regular Course cadets will train in NDA and all the cost of their administration and their training logistics will be taking care of by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
