Nigerian Army Educational Recruitment Requirements
- Basic Qualification: Every applicant should have, at the very least, 4 credits or passes. This must include English and Maths and should be achieved within two sittings. Acceptable exams are WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
- Tradesmen/Women: If you’re applying for a tradesman or tradeswoman position, you must also have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
- Medical Personnel: Registered Nurses and Midwives under 30 years of age can apply.
General Recruitment Requirements
- Nationality: You must be a Nigerian by birth.
- Marital Status: All applicants should be single.
- Health Standards: The Nigerian Army has strict medical, physical, and psychological criteria that you must meet.
- Legal Record: A clean slate is essential. No criminal convictions are allowed.
- Identity Verification: All candidates should possess a National Identity Card or NIN slip. If you don’t have a NIN yet, you can apply on their website.
- Height Considerations: Male applicants should be at least 1.68 meters tall, while female candidates must measure a minimum of 1.65 meters in height.
- Age Limitations: For non-trades positions, you should be between 18 and 22 years of age. Trades candidates must be under 26 years by 18 Dec 23. For medical staff like Registered Nurses and Midwives, the age cap is 30 years
General Instructions For The Nigerian Army 86RRI Shortlisted Candidates
- Candidates are to note that there will be no Pre-Selection Computer Based Test.
- No special center for recruitment.
- There will be no Zonal Screening Exercise.
- All screening of potential recruits will be conducted at the candidates’ respective state of origin.
- Candidates are not to bring electronic or recording devices to the venue of the State Recruitment Exercise.
- Candidates are also expected to adhere to COVID-19 protocols which include regular washing of hands, use of face mask, and observing physical distance.
- Any candidate who falsifies or forges his/her results and is discovered even during training at Depot NA would be withdrawn from training.
- Candidates are advised to come with their BVN printout.
- Candidates are advised in their own interest not to give any form of gratification or inducement to any person or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise.
